The manufacturer of the world’s best licorice decided to donate 100 percent of its five-day online sales to Ukrainian children and families in need through Unicef.

Very rarely we are able to do things that really matters. Usually we can only do small things. But when enough people do a lot of small things together, it becomes one big thing that makes the real difference.
Kouvola Licorice’s managing director Timo Nisula said this when he visited Turku in June to receive the honor awarded by the Patriarch of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The honor was awarded due to the donation Kouvola Licorice collected for Ukrainian families at the beginning of 2022. Five days, 100% of online store sales to Ukraine, 4994 orders and 126,000 euros. Thanks again to everyone involved in the campaign, this was only possible because we did it together.
